Peduli Anak’s shelter homes offer them a safe, structured, relaxed and home-like environment, giving them positive experiences and realistic challenges. During their stay, we assess and address their needs through education, planned activities, counseling and therapy.
Mental health challenges often begin in early childhood and are highly complex. Without supportive relationships and a secure environment, children may lack the foundation needed for growth. Exposure to violence, abuse, and neglect can severely impact a child’s development and long-term well-being. Research from organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children highlights the crucial role of mental health in a child’s future.
Peduli Anak collaborates closely with Child Social Services and other government agencies to ensure that children and young people who have lost parental care, are at risk of losing it, or are facing abuse, exploitation, child marriage, or involvement in juvenile offenses are protected, cared for, rehabilitated and supported. Our commitment is to uphold their rights, ensuring they are recognized and respected, in line with international standards and frameworks.
Peduli Anak’s family support programs are focused on creating stable and nurturing environments for children. We believe that every child deserves a sense of belonging and reliable support. Our programs are designed to build strong, trustworthy relationships, ensuring that children feel cared for and supported by those around them.
Peduli Anak’s free clinics and medical aid programs are vital in providing healthcare to children within our centers and from impoverished families in surrounding communities at no cost. Many Indonesian children lack access to basic healthcare and health insurance due to poverty. Our well-equipped clinic offers free preventative and primary care, ensuring children receive thorough check-ups and comprehensive medical attention upon arrival.
Our primary and middle schools offer free education to hundreds of children living within our child welfare centers and from nearby impoverished communities. Both schools have received the highest accreditation from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, highlighting the excellence and impact of our educational programs. Our dedicated staff ensures that every child receives the quality education they deserve, paving the way for a brighter future.

At Peduli Anak, we stand as a source of hope for vulnerable children in Indonesia, particularly those without adequate parental care. Leveraging our extensive network of partners and influencers, we launch swift humanitarian programs tailored to the urgent needs of children and their families. Our proactive approach was evident during the devastating Lombok earthquakes in August 2018, where we provided essential aid, including tents, blankets, food, water, medication, and vitamins, to thousands of affected children and families despite the destruction of our own child welfare center in Lombok.
