Tiara is a neglected child who previously lived with her step-grandmother. Her father left her when she was very young, and her mother went abroad to work as a migrant worker. Over time, Tiara’s relationship with her step-grandmother deteriorated, especially when they ran out of financial support from her mother. Without proper adult supervision, Tiara was at risk of falling into bad company. As a result, the social services referred her to Peduli Anak to receive education, care, and protection.
